Black Eagle Martial Arts, located in West Des Moines, Iowa, was founded in 2012 by Grandmaster Young Gul Son and is led by Head Master Brandon Son. Since its inception, we have built a reputation for offering exceptional training across three traditional martial arts disciplines: Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Kuhapdo.
Our mission is rooted in preserving and promoting the deep cultural heritage and values of traditional martial arts while providing a modern, high-quality training environment. We cater to individuals of all ages, from 5 years old to 70+, offering programs that are tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Each student is given the opportunity to thrive in an environment that encourages both personal growth and physical achievement.
In addition to serving the local community, we maintain strong relationships with martial arts schools across the globe, including in Korea, Central and South America, and Europe. These international partnerships contribute to the diverse, enriching experience that our students receive at Black Eagle Martial Arts.
