Our Covid-19 Response

To ensure the safety of our students we are practicing the following:

Our Statement

05-29-20

Dear Black Eagle family,

We are announcing the resume of our classes at dojang starting Monday, June 1st. We are also continuing our online classes through Zoom, for the students who wish to stay home, until it is safe to fully return to our normal schedule. The online class will begin the second week of June, Monday, June 8th. Please notify us at info@blackeaglemartialarts.us if you plan to attend our online classes and check the modified class schedule attached for more details.

We are not encouraging you to participate in our offline classes. We are aware that the COVID-19 in our community has not been settled yet, and we strongly suggest using your best judgment to decide your offline class participation. Our highest priority is to keep our students and families safe, and we will continue to take our part to protect our community from the spread of the disease.

We ask all of our students and families to participate us to keep the dojang safe:
- Please stay home if you have any symptoms, such as the runny nose, sore throat, cough, or high fever.
- Everyone in the dojang must wear masks and keep masks on during the class.
- No waiting is allowed in the dojang. We ask our parents to wait for their child in the car.
- Students must enter the dojang after everyone in the previous class has left the dojang.
- Everyone must check their temperature before entering dojang. BEMA staff will take the temperature with the no-contact thermometer.
- We may ask you to leave if you have a temperature of 99°F or higher or show any symptoms.
- Students are not allowed to use the restroom in the dojang at any time.

Here are examples of what we are doing to keep our students safe:
- We are reducing our class hours 5 minutes each. Please understand that this is to control our students' contact between classes, and to allow us time to sanitize our facility.
- We have marked the six-feet mark on our training area. Students must stay on the mark during class, and cannot leave the mark without permission during and after the class.
- We are hosting our June color belt testing as one-on-one testing and canceling our belt promotion.
- Taekwondo Sparring Team practice is canceled until there is a further notice.
- We are minimizing the number of our staff to keep the minimum capacity of our dojang.

We are very cautious but also excited to see everyone again healthy. Thank you, all of our students and our families, for your strong support during the two-month online classes. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We will see you soon.

Thank you very much,
